PA Robber Wanted For Child Sex Abuse Nabbed By US Marshals In MD

A York County, PA robber was caught by US Marshals in Northern Maryland — three months after a second child told authorities they were sexually abused by him.

Anthony James Raimo, 35, of the 700 block of Harrisburg Pike, Dillsburg, was arrested on July 7 by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Washington County, MD Sheriff's Office, according to a release on Friday.

Raimo had been under investigation by the Upper Allen Township Police Department since April for allegedly sexually abusing a child.

During the investigation, police learned of the second victim and an arrest warrant was issued, but he went on the run, police explained. 

He was extradited back to Cumberland County on July 14, 2023, on the following charges: rape of a child, aggravated indecent assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, corruption of minors, and, unlawful contact with a minor, police said and court records confirmed.

He has been held on $500,000 in bail and his preliminary hearing has been set before Magisterial District Judge Mark Martin at 10:45 a.m. on Aug. 3, 2023, according to his latest court docket. 

Raimo also has another active case for an alleged theft in Cumberland County. His pre-trial conference has been scheduled for Aug. 9, 2023, an earlier docket shows. 

In 2015, he was sentenced to serve 18 months to five years of confinement followed by one year of probation for a 2013 armed robbery — he served 40 days behind bars, court records show.
